I would say California for University and kinda work, New York for work, but not Miami. California has tons of reputable schools (I live here, I would know) and New York has a lot of job opportunities. Miami is overrated.

Anywhere in miami will be bad.. traffic wise is just A LOT!.. but you can do it.. I would prob live around the beach and be closer to dwntonw, if you get a chance just drive around the same time you would be going to wrk so u can get a feel of it..

I did it for a year and it wasn't that bad at all. I did adjust my work schedule that I arrived at 8:15, arriving at 8:45 can be killer for traffic.

I used to drive from Bal Harbor/Surfside area to downtown every day for a year and it wasn't bad at all. On average it took me 25 mins to get there. Never more than 45 mins (this was one time that Alton Road was blocked) if you drive from South Beach or from the 41rst street/Mount Sinai Hospital area to Downtown it's even quicker than from where i used to drive.

I don't think it will work. Their egos will get in the way. They're all going to have to change the way they've played the game the past few years. They were all the superstars on the team. Now you have 3 'superstars' who will have to share. End of the game though, I'd have say go with Wade. LeBron chokes too often, just like he did in the playoffs.

Well No,I don't see this working, on the court they get to the second round and lose , and if and that's a huge if they come out the east, they WON'T BEAT THE LAKERS.

I think this team has the potential to win a championship but I don't think they're a lock. Chris Bosh talked about being a centerpiece earlier in the summer and I think if anything stops them from winning it will be Bosh. I also think that 3 superstars are gonna put them in a tough position to put a team around them. As for who gets the ball in the final seconds I think it'll be LeBron or Wade, depending on who's hot. BQ: I think if they win 1 they'll win 3. I think this team will figure it out and win at least 1.

Of course it is going to work out. They have three of the best players in the NBA on the same team, how can it not work out? And somewhere down the line, Chris Bosh, LeBron James, and Dwayne Wade will give up on trying to be the star of the team and start focusing on winning a Championship. Yes! I've done cali to florda. It's easy, just tell them how you feel over the phone and act as if they were in person but you are talking to them on the phone. Don't think about the bad things that MIGHT happen. Think about the good things that WILL happen.

Yeah, it can work. (So can Globalisation - in theory!) I think the key here is that HE broke up with you, so that's saying thet either he is not willing to be committed or he doesn't trust that YOU are. Either way, that's a recipe for disaster. Put your 4 weeks down to experience and open the door to all the possibilities which are presenting themselves to you. Unless he suggests you get back together, I wouldn't push for anything, because you'll be pushing yourself into a lot of hurt and disappointment.

My girlfriend lives in New Mexico I live in Maine she spends 2 weeks out of the summer here. We talk on the phone alot write letter we think of each other often. For 4 years we've been thinking of each other and we get along just fine as long as she's in New Mexico.

Learn calligraphy so that you can provide handwritten invitations and thank you notes to prospective wedding parties, birthday celebrations, etc. Seek out clients through wedding planners at nearby churches and temples. A starter calligraphy kit usually runs around $20 and anyone can easily pick up this skill. The going rate is usually $1 per hand addressed item. 2. Become a "poser" who assists wedding photographers in setting and arranging various individuals in group and single photographic positions. "Posers" carry around a sketch book of various sitting and standing poses which consists of onion skin overlays of various wedding pictures bound in albums. Again, contact local wedding photographers and wedding planners, accordingly. The hourly pay is around $10-$12 per hour and you are often invited to attend all dining activities. 3. Seek from your neighbors a gardner position which involves planting, weed removal, plant/tree trimming, light brush clearance. You will be using the neighbor's equipment and tools. Again, do not represent yourself as a lawn mower since there are any number of safety issues involved. A door-to-door solicitation of surrounding neighbors is required and you can charge between $6 to $9 per hour. 4. Offer policing/removal or clearance of trash services to surrounding neighbors which involve trash pickup within nearby residential area. Limit the extent of pickup to small areas and be aware that there are no hazardous terrain or elements involved in this process. Again, a door-to-door solicitation of neighbors is in order. You can charge between $6.75 to $7.50 per hour. 5. Acquire a set of window cleaning tools [a bucket, liquid window cleaner, sponge, squeegee, handle with an extension and a small step ladder] and solicit local businesses for your window cleaning services. However, be careful to limit the height of the window cleaning to no higher than one story. Charge $1 per window panel. 6. Become a proxy/stand-in for neighbors to allow delivery of goods and packages to your home/apartment. Acquire the authority to sign any receipt of incoming packages as an accepting neighbor. Charge $1 per each package handled by you. 7. Consider becoming a restaurant-cafe customer liaison by using your cell phone at restaurants-cafes to coordinate with the hostess to keep track of waiting customers. Whenever there's a very long period of time to activate a waiting list, you want to offer the restaurant your services so that customers do not have to stand around for any lengthy period of time. And when their name/assigned number comes up; you can call the upcoming customer's cell phone to tell them that they can return to the restaurant and be served. The call back fee is usually around $0.50 cents on a per head basis. For example, a couple would be charged $1.00 while children under 6 would not be charged. Placement of a plaque which outlines your fee schedule near the hostess station is sufficient to garner attention of prospective customers who will value your services since they can do other activities outside of the restaurant -- often beyond the range of any inhouse paging system. You realize that everyone has a cellphone and why not take advantage of the connectivity to make the diner's experience worthwhile. The restaurant will also appreciate the added service you are providing as a customer liaison. 8. Why not become a paid feeder servicing the disabled at nearby nursing, convalescent, assisted living/care centers and hospitals. It involves feeding food to patients who are unable to feed themselves. The starting rate is $8.00 per hour. The only downside is that one has to take precautions to wash one's hands after each feeding. A posting of your services [by a business card or flyer] on a reviewable bulletin board would be enough to generate customers. I think Miami should try to diversify their offense so teams don't try to defend the same plays over and over. I live in Florida too and also hate hurricane season. My husband is with our EOC, so it's double stress for me. I don't know about the jobs there, but it's definitely cheaper in Texas than here in Florida. I watch a show called "Flip This House" where a house is bought, updated, then flipped. One specific company shown is from Texas and the prices of the homes are unbelievable compared to Florida. You'd definitely pocket some money if you're a homeowner and sell. But you're in insurance and everyone needs insurance, so I'm sure you'd have no problem finding a job. Start posting your resume online and call the local Chamber of Commerce in the city you want to move in for more information.

You have the cruise industry down here, so there is Carnival, Norweigian, and Royal Caribbean. All are good companies and there is a certain amount of glamour in those jobs. Burger King (corporate) is a big employer as well, but they turnover a lot. There is also Ryder, but they seem to have a similar issue. Club Med (America's) is located in Coral Gables. But you might find some of your best success in medium sized businesses, since that is what is most prevalent in Miami. Try going to Manpower. They actually could help you find either temporary or full time employment.

Whatever you job probation period ends. One you start to recieve benefits you are eligible.

It depends on the company you work for not the state. If you were already pregnant when you got the job, then you are just out of luck for coverage! You have to have the insurance FIRST!!! You will get the leave, but not the insurance.

Not really sure what you are asking. If you are talking about taking maternity leave...then you have to be with the company for at least a year to get it. However...it is not paid leave. Your complany will give you leave...you just will not be paid, unless you have the sick/vacation built up. That goes for either over a year there or not!!! They cannot fire you bc you are pregnant, and they have to help you in anyway they can whether you have been there a year or not. If you are talking about health benefits...if you have insurance, you will have maternity insurance. Just call your insurance company and let them know you are pregnant, although your ob will do that!!

Check with your company. When my wife and I moved to California she was already pregnant and she had coverage the entire time. Her coverage was in place before we even arrived.

I don't life there but many of my friends do. if you have lots of energy and a fun person you should. there's always something to do, and if not interested there are lots of mamichulas to spend time with... your call. I would if I had the chance.

Amazing. But be ready to deal with lots of people and lots of traffic. My friends and I always say that people that are born and raised in Miami are like no others in the US though. Its so diverese that you are bound to have all different kinds of friends and people in your life and you will learn to appreicate them all. The weather isn't too shabby either, but the humidity in the summer is only for the brave lol

a lot of it is the same as any place else. People are transient here. B/C of this you can make friends easy but most people will take advantage of you if you are not careful. Every guy will try to have sex with girlfriend and still smile to your face.
